Radiers vs. Brett Farve - who is more outlandish?

The mind mannered man seen here is Tom Cable. In case you didn't know he is the new head coach of the LA Raiders. He is making news today because he went all Buddy Ryan on his defensive coach and busted up his jaw. Reports say that Randy Hanson was hospitalized earlier this month after being blind sided by Cable, according to one team source and one league source with ties to the coaching staff, both speaking on the condition of anonymity.

Well Al Davis finally let a guy go that made him look sane, a miracle in itself, and now it seems he has found his guy. The story goes that Hanson didn't want to press charges but a report had to be filed since the hospital is obligated to call the police when they think an assault has happened. So now after these reports have hit Cable today was asked if he broke the assistants jaw. He first said he could talk about the incident only to later say no comment. Hey he was a man of his word he spoke on the incident, it's just that he didn't answer the question.

Maybe there is a good reason for not answering the question. The reason is if he does he will be implicating himself and be subject to discipline by the NFL. Any assault or battery by an NFL employee, including head coaches, could be deemed a violation of the league's Personal Conduct Policy and result in a fine and-or suspension. I doubt anything will come from it in the way of criminal charges and probably a fine if the league can prove something. So the question becomes, what kind of man would hit a guy when he isn't looking? THe answer of course is an Al Davis kind of guy.

In other NFL news, many on the Vikings team and reporter Jay Glazer are saying that it is a done deal and Farve WILL be back this season. Who is surprised by this? No one of course. The ultimate way to go out and be forever loved in Green Bay.....play for your long time bitter rival and drive them into the ground like you did the Jets. Perfect!
