Deh Deh Deh.....Deh Deh Deh. This just in, ESPN SportsCenter is talking about that awesome SG who is on a real tear this year. There is just one problem. They keep miss-pronouncing his name.......by alot. I'm not sure how Stu, Dickie V, Winer, Wingo, Bilas, and the rest of these guys are all mispronouncing it the same way. It is ludicrous!! How do you get... "STEPHEN CURRY"

out of a name spelled...J-O-D-I-E M-E-E-K-S??

Oh, I see, they just have the wrong name written down. Well, lets help them out Big Blue Nation!
That Stephen Curry can really shoot the long ball....he is 40/114 for a nice 35.1%.
Of course, Jodie Meeks can tickle the twine from way out too....he is 51/118 for a healthy 43.2%
And Meeks is making 3.64/game just ahead of Curry at 3.63/game.

But, Stephen Curry is a better all around scorer at 29.9ppg as compared to Meeks at 24.1ppg right?
Curry takes 22 shots per game, 6 more than Meeks does. And Meeks overall FG% is 47.5% to Curry's
44.4%.
Curry must be the better guy at getting to the line right? Yep, Curry gets to the line 2 more times than
Meeks. However, Meeks makes his count more often at 88.2% compared to Curry at 84.3%.
Of course, because Curry doesn't have to share the ball with a beast the quality of Patrick Patterson,

he gets more assists per game because of the double-teams he draws in spite of the numerous screens
and pick and roll sets his team runs for him. So, it isn't fair to compare because Curry has to fill in the
point guard roll? Maybe, but that isn't enough to excuse ESPN from not putting Jodie Meeks in the big
lights of SportsCenter.
Especially, if you compare Jodie's numbers this year to Curry's of last year, when he wasn't being asked
to be the point guard.
Curry 2007......25.9ppg....48.3FG%....43.9-3Pt%....2.9A....2.6TO....89.4FT%
Meeks 2008......24.1ppg....47.5FG%....43.2-3Pt%...1.9A.....2.9TO....88.2FT%
Let's remember, Meeks is playing with a guy in Patrick Patterson who is averaging 19.3ppg and shoots
72.2FG%. Nobody on Curry's squad last year was even close to that.
I am not trying to say who is or isn't better, as a matter of fact, I am trying to show the equal amount
of coverage deserved for both of their accolades this year.
