Out of all of the places that Joe's style would fit, and he could be an "instant impact", it would be the run-n-gun game of the Lakers. Joe will be a great fit at the 2 spot in L.A. Joe can shoot lights out, is not afraid of anyone, and finishes so strong at the rack at 6'5", 207. I can not wait to see Joe playing next season at LA, and he is definately a steal at the #58 pick, for his offense alone. Joe needs a little more prowess on defense IMO, but in the Western Conference, it is all about offense, where the Eastern Conference is more defensively minded.
Kobe has been trying to get other players involved this season (way more than to be expected from an offensive juggernaut), and Joe will convert, way more than let Kobe down. Joe is not afraid in the least, to take "the big shot", which should accent Kobe's style great.
As a Celtics fan, IMO, the Lakers were one player short of being where Botson is at, as Finals Champion. With Joe C's transitional offense style that mirrors that of the Lakers, Joe will fit like a velvet glove. I bet Phil Jackson is rubbing his hands together thinking, "Man, I can't not believe we got this kid a #58 pick". Joe may be Phil's ticket to history, and big number 10 to pass Red Auerbach.
This is a win-win for Joe, Phil, Kobe, and the Lakers, and the best of luck to "Joe C for 3".
Check out the SG roster for L.A. as it stands, and I see Joe lighting it up with quality minutes, very soon THIS upcoming season. There is definately a need for him in L.A. Sorry Sasha Vujacic, there is a new sheriff at the 2 spot in L.A.
