So who helped themselves? Who hurt themselves? I got the scoop, hope you're hungry.
Helped
Sedrick Ellis DT USC - The kid is unblockable. Single handedly destroyed the South's interior line ALL DAY LONG. Top 10 pick easy.
Chad Henne QB UMich - Not outstanding, but was efficient and effective while in the game. Solid late first round pick.
Lavell Hawkins WR Cal - Not the fastest guy, doesn't run the greatest routes. But when the ball is in the air and anywhere within 10 feet of him, he's going to make a play. Seems to have solved his drop problem from earlier this season. 3rd round pick.
Wesley Woodyard OLB UK - Was all over the field today. Seemed in on a ton of plays, including stud hits on USC RB Washington to begin the game. One negative play getting a holding call on a deep middle route. Solid 3rd round pick.
Eric Ainge QB UT - Tom Brady like performance today. By that I mean you cannot ask for more efficiency and be realistic about it. Can make any throw within 25 yards. Must work on down field arm strength. Showed great poise on last 2 minute drive to win. Solid 2nd round pick.
Forte RB Tulane - Who would have thought this kid would have the kind of day running the ball that he had. Wow! He runs hard and isn't afraid to lower his shoulder. This kid will find a place to play in the big league. Improved to a late 3rd early 4th round pick.
Cromartie CB TSU - This kid is suddenly the talk of the town. He showed excellent coverage skills today on some elite WR talent. Showed excellent speed and great hands. This kid may have improved to a late first rounder.
Jacob Tamme TE UK - Was effective in the run game which was the big question mark surrounding him by NFL scouts. Showed excellent technique in run blocking driving defensive ends and outside linebackers away from the play. Ran excellent routes and caught the ball with sure hands when catchable. Showed ability to be effective against safeties, cornerbacks, and linebackers. Improved to late 2nd early 3rd round pick.
Hurt
Andre Woodson QB UK - Was effective when he had time to throw. Showed inability to stay composed when under pressure and made too many mistakes. Woodson has the arm, work ethic, and intelligene to be an NFL QB. Can the NFL fix his mechanics? Late 3rd, early 4th round pick.
Rafael Little RB UK - Mostly ineffective when running the ball gaining 2 to 3 yards. Showed a little trouble picking up quicker and bigger linebackers when pass blocking. UK fans will realize Little is most effective catching the ball out of the backfield and when he has 20 to 25 carries a game, maybe that had an effect on his performance today.
Colt Brennen QB UH - Was horrible all day long (surprise) against legitimate top talent. Can not read a defense, and his side arm release will not allow him to be effective at the next level. Maybe there's a semi pro team in Maui. Late 6th round pick.
