With Sampson Out, Who's Next?

ESPN's Forde gave his thoughts on who should be in line for the Indiana job. Among those mentioned were in order of priority: 1.) Tony Bennett of Washington State 2.) Sean Miller of Xavier 3.) Brad Brownell of Wright State 4.) Mark Few of Gonzaga 5.) Thad Matta of Ohio State WOW! I don't see any of those coaches being accepted at IU. After rediculous hires like Mike Davis and Kelv… Continue

Cats Comin On Strong

I said it earlier in the year. If Patrick Patterson had help down low and Jasper and Meeks were on the floor this would be a different team. We are seeing that. Jasper's stats are nothing to write home about. It's the intangibles that he brings to the table. His passes that lead to scores. His defen

In Search of an Answer

Is there any doubt in anyone's mind that this would have been a different game today against Louisville had we had any output whatsoever from Jodie Meeks? This just goes to show how devestating the injury to Meeks was. He is no where near the Jodie Meeks he was last season. That can be attributed solely

I Hate To Say I Told You So, But....

I Told You So.

Seriously, back in May of 2007 when there was this huge controversy in the Bluegrass as to the priority of one Jai Lucas or Patrick Patteson and who we needed more than the other, you could find my thoughts very easily and largely outspoken. Patrick Patterson was the type of player we needed. He would be a force inside offensively and defensively. He would be the rebounder we needed. The game changer that UK so desperately needed was gift wrapped in Huntington, West Virg

Effort Doesn't Always Equal The Win

WOW! We actually lost to San Diego today. I can't say that I'm capable of looking on the bright side for very much longer. We have kids out there trying their hardest for Coach Gillispie, yet the outcome has been catastrophic to this point of the season. The truth is, these Cats can put forth all the effort that Coach Gillispie requires of them and the outcome is not going to change. We do not have the firepower to compete with just about any division one team in the country. I'm not saying t

12/26/07 The State of the Program

This won't be a long one folks. Its as simple and plain as the writing on the wall. The basketball program at the University of Kentucky is fine. Most of the injuries have healed now, with the exception of D-Jas, so we should start seeing the benefits of everyone on the roster that can contribute, contributing.

We're

Terrorist are bad, mmkay?

Terrorist are bad. There is no questioning this. But recently I have been thinking about people who might fall under the terrorist blanket. I have come to the conclusion that the terrorist blanket covers warmly, gang bangers.

Don't agree? Let's take a deeper look.

Terroris

How about a Dolphin and Tuna Sandwhich?

It is a widely accepted theory that Dolphins are the most intelligent animal in the world… outside of monkeys and humans anyway. So where in the world….. other than Miami, would you ever see a tuna leading a dolphin?

That’s right folks, Bill Parcells widely known in the sports world as “The Tuna,” has been hired as Executive Vice President of

State of the Program 12/18/07

At first glance it is extremely difficult to take anything positive from the loss to Houston last night. UK was outplayed. There is no question about that. The Houston Cougars led by Dion Dowell simply wanted it more. That being said, the heart and soul of UK’s team wasn’t on the court. A “mysterious” ankle injury kept Patrick Patterson watching from the bench the entire game… a mere spectator of a debacle in South Tex
